Transforming Lives Through Service
Community Outreach, the focal point of EDNA’S Love, Inc.
EDNA’S Love, Inc. plays a pivotal role within the community, supporting higher education, blood cancer awareness, and veterans affairs.
Our namesake, Edna G. Neal, was an avid supporter of professional development and continued education; an encouraging soul who believed in the village approach. EDNA’S Love, Inc. works with several local and national organizations that assist us in fulfilling our mission, “Sowing Seeds of Compassion to Transform Lives Through Service.”

American Red Cross Blood Services
American Red Cross Blood Services provides about 40% of our nation’s blood and blood components, all from generous volunteer donors. But supply can’t always meet demand because only about 3% of age-eligible people donate blood yearly. Each new donor helps meet patient needs, as every day, blood donors help patients of all ages: accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients, and those battling cancer.
Whether a patient receives whole blood, red cells, platelets or plasma, this lifesaving care starts with one person making a generous donation.

American Cancer Society Hope Lodge (Baltimore)
The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge program provides a free home away from home for cancer patients and their caregivers. More than just a roof over their heads, it’s a nurturing community that helps patients access the care they need. Each Hope Lodge community offers a supportive, homelike environment where guests can share a meal, join in the evening’s activities, or unwind in their own private room. Patients staying at a Hope Lodge must be in active cancer treatment and permanently reside more than 40 miles away from their cancer treatment center.
The American Cancer Society Hope Lodge in Baltimore, which opened in 1987, offers 26 guest rooms located near treatment centers in the area.
